Open Shelving is generally used for bulk storage of items. In the warmer months, this might include lawn chairs, charcoal grills, camping gear, and outdoor games. In the cooler months, you might use these shelves for hunting decoys, sleds and snow toys, sidewalk salt, or even firewood. These open storage shelves are also often installed in basements and storerooms for off season clothing, canned and paper goods, and less-used small appliances like ice-cream makers and fondue pots.
